The shadows mirroring the corruption inside.
The water is gone, torn away in an instant,
A choking thirst cruelly gifted upon the figment of beauty.
The silence carries on through the still battles,
Creeping into every crevice, inside and out.
And the life, the life graciously beheld upon it,
Stolen, and left to wither.
